MAZ 7904 is a 12\u00d712 off-road 6-axle truck with two 2-seater cabs on huge 3-meter wheels. The curb weight is 140 tons, and the carrying capacity is 220 tons, and the total weight is 360 tons.<\/p>\n
The main engine was a 12CHN18 \/ 20 (M-351) V12 marine diesel engine with a turbocharger of 42.4 liters and 1,500 hp. (6700 nm) located in front between cabs. It was connected to two hydromechanical gearboxes.
\n2 front and 2 rear axles were steered.<\/p>\n
MAZ 7904 uses 3180\u00d71010-1295 wheels with tires manufactured by Bridgestone.
\nThe second auxiliary engine YaMZ-238F V8 was used to power hydraulic pumps, electric generators, ventilation openings of the cooling system, and other units. Its power is 330 hp.<\/p>\n

The only prototype MAZ 7904 was assembled in June 1983. The tests took place only in the dark and on schedule, when the enemy satellites did not \u201chover\u201d over the territory of the USSR. After 547 km, the prototype was disassembled and loaded onto a special 12-axle 120-ton platform for transportation to Kazakhstan. The second stage of the tests took place there, when MAZ 7904 drove 4100 km with a maximum speed of 27 km \/ h. Next, the car was at Baikonur, where in 2010 the car was cut into metal and fiberglass.
