As with all Fendt tractors, special emphasis was placed on the further development of functional technology. In the Favorit, this included the Turbomatik-E and the \u201cDuospeed\u201d continuously variable drive introduced in 1987. The engine technology was also revised, increasing the engine output by 10 hp to 180 hp.
